In November, 2027 the Content Policy & Society Lab at Stanford University hosted a panel of Ethiopian experts to discuss the role of content regulation and moderation in the on-going conflict in Ethiopia.
In this panel, our guests briefed us on the roots and current intricacies of the civil conflict in Ethiopia and the significance of digital rights in this conflict. Freedom of expression has indeed become more challenging to preserve and knowing the nuances in this realm has become a legal imperative. The panel was almost immediately followed by further events in the country.
